Pautzke's for Springers

Good Morning Just a few notes of Pautzke's and Springer's for the Northwest.
Colored Herring or Anchovies
We have been having great success over the past 10-12 years with this process. No doubt the color is amazing and without the issues of other bait companies dye. But the part many people miss when using anything other then Pautzke's is the Scent. Eggs/Krill is the scent. True mothers milk and major ocean food combined.

Now we all know that when fishing is hot and the bite is hot it makes not much difference. But on those days when the fish are tight lipped being hammered with hundreds of silver, herring/anchovy smelling baits laced with the norm in secret scents, ha,. That is when this process makes the difference.

The same goes for curing your Sardine or herring fillets for wrapping your Flat-Fish, Quick-Fish or Sting-Fish. Would also be awesome for Brad's new Super bait Cut Plug.

The following

Borax-O-Fire Herring/Anchovies Brine

In a half gallon container

1cup of Pautzke's Fire Cure (sulphate) or Pautzke's Borax-O-Fire Natural

3/4 Cup Rock Salt

This is the base Brine

Then to get color add two bottles of Pautzke's Red, Blue, Yellow or Orange Nectar

This Brine will last week to ten days with adding small amounts of above as needed.

For Curing Sardine or Herring fillets for your Wraps

1/2 Cup of Pautzke's Fire Cure Pink, Red or Orange

1/2 Cup of non-ionized salt

20-26 fillets

sprinkle on lightly and put in gallon zip lock bag will fish great for three days if it lasts that long.

If you want the Chartreuse color then use the Natural Fire-Cure and a bottle of yellow Nectar.

So from trolling to anchored Pautzke's has you covered for 2010 springer season.
