Strugeon Continues, Salmon on the Ocean underway this Sunday

Hey what a few weeks with Keeper Sturgeon season out of Astoria. While the fishing has been slow in the total number fish caught per day the numbers of KEEPERS has been just fine. We are starting to see more "shorts this week" coming from up river and the bait is arriving late but arriving which means the FAT Sturgeon are right under them.

We have seen several fish close to 55 pounds this week in the Shop.

We believe that the state might extend the season a few days in July. If this happens or you just want a hot day of fishing for your friends or family July is the time to Sturgeon fish the Astoria area as it is flat great. So keep informed!!

Ocean Salmon gets underway this Sunday and we will as normal get off to a fair start for the coho but the size will be small as normal. After about the 15th of July these fish start putting on wieght fast and we expect solid Silver fishing the rest of the ocean season with the largest qouta we have seen in years.

Call anytine for fishing reports, booking information and real time conditions.
