With Fall Chinooks comes salmon eggs

Once that great fall chinook is landed check to see if it is a female! Now if you do not use eggs, need eggs or have a friend you will make very happy by giving them eggs then let her go to Spawn!!

But if your like me and use eggs daily for Salmon and Steelhead fishing then make sure you treat them with the upmost care. Follow the steps to ensure the best cured roe for your future fishing trips. Now before everyone starts in with their own methods just remember the most important thing! Do not let them go to waste! That is a crime and the fishign gods will not forget.

1. Bleed fish at once and remove eggs from fish into a plastic zip-lock bag.
2. Keep Cool but do not freeze.
3. open scanes and let drain on paper towels or fish rags if your wife let's you. keep in Bait fridge over night.
4. Use Pautzke's Fire Cure in either Pink, Red, Orange or Natural. Follow instructions and put in jars half-gallon my choice. Put back into fridge rotate for two days and fish/catch.

Now I know there are lots of cures but take it from a guy who fish's for a living. There is no better cure for quality and ease of curing out there.
